Connect Backdocket to Gemini

Use Backdocket with Google Gemini where custom MCP connectors are supported, such as Gemini Enterprise.

Connect

1. Your Gemini Enterprise administrator adds a custom MCP server with the URL https://ai.backdocket.com/mcp. Where your Gemini app lets you add your own connected apps, you can add it with the same URL.

2. Sign in with your own Backdocket account when the assistant opens the Backdocket sign-in page, and approve access.

3. Ask Gemini a question about your firm’s data.

Note

  • Gemini does not yet offer a public directory for third-party connectors, so Backdocket is added by URL.

  • “Using Backdocket, how many open cases does the firm have, broken down by case type?”
  • “In Backdocket, how many cases is each attorney handling?”
  • “Summarize the Backdocket case Smith_John_AA.”
  • “Which Backdocket tasks are past due, and who are they assigned to?”
  • “Which Backdocket cases have had suit filed?”

Security and permissions

  • Each user signs in with their own Backdocket account.
  • The assistant sees and changes only what that user is already permitted to see and change in Backdocket, and only for their own firm.
  • Emails and text messages are not sent without the user’s explicit approval.
  • You can disconnect Backdocket at any time from your assistant’s connector settings.
